Cognos and Epsilon announce new OEM agreement for Cognos 8 Business Intelligence

LONDON, England - February 5th, 2007 - Cognos (Nasdaq: COGN; TSX: CSN), a provider of business intelligence and performance management solutions, has announced a strategic OEM agreement with Epsilon, a leading provider of multi-channel, data-driven marketing technologies and services.

Epsilon will offer to embed Cognos 8 Business Intelligence’s (BI) reporting and analysis capabilities into its marketing technology solutions, delivering greater visibility and insight into customer information and marketing campaigns. With Cognos 8 BI, Epsilon customers will gain versatile reporting and analysis capabilities of all customer data regardless of source type, from ad hoc to operational, in one intuitive interface that satisfies the needs of all users and roles. This integrated solution will enable marketers to understand and monitor current campaign performance while planning future strategies with confidence.
