Overview
Every healthcare organisation must prioritise service delivery to their patients, while at the same time optimising resources and meeting regulatory targets.Using Cognos performance management software, Bidetime Healthcare Performance Pack allows healthcare organisations to plan, analyse, and report to stakeholders and management on all key aspects of their service delivery. This includes waiting lists, long stays, bed blocking, revenues, and predicted surplus/deficit.
Cognos Planning allows providers and commissioners to plan demand by patient procedure, and forecast the revenue generated. As well, providers will soon be able to capture standard costs and calculate surplus/deficit, and apply demand constraints. This meets all the “Payment by Results” (PbR) requirements of the UK National Health Service.
IBM Cognos 8 Business Intelligence is used to analyse and report actual performance, enable day-to-day management decisions, and provide regular management and statutory reports.
The Bidetime Healthcare Performance Management framework layer extracts and transforms data from common patient administration systems, electronic patient record systems, and clinical systems supplied by companies such as iSoft, Cerner, and McKesson.
