Except for the IBM Cognos Axiant Windows Help, the documentation is in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format, and requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader, version 5.0 or later, to be read. Download the Adobe Acrobat Reader free of charge from the Adobe Web site.

For files in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format, click on the link to open the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader within your browser. Then save the document locally if you wish. Alternatively, right click on the link, select Save Target As, and save the file locally.

For self-extracting zip (exe) files, click the link and save the file. Alternatively, right click on the link, select Save Target As, and save the file locally. When the download is complete, choose Run from your Windows Start menu on the Windows Task Bar, and then Browse to find the location where you have just downloaded the file. Click on the .exe file that you have downloaded, and then click the Open button in the Browse dialog window. When you return to the Run dialog click the OK button to extract the contents. The default extract location is your Temp directory but you can choose an alternative location.

Read extracted Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Use the IBM Cognos Axiant Windows Help by opening the IBM Cognos Axiant4GL.hlp file. You can open the file by double clicking on it, or by right clicking and selecting Open from the menu.
