Annual Fee
Upon acceptance into the Cognos Partner Program, Technology Partners are required to pay an annual program fee, commensurate with their level of partnership. Membership in the program is effective for one year from the date of acceptance, and partners are required to pay this fee within 30 days of acceptance into the program, in order to remain in good standing.

Signed Cognos Technology Partner Agreement
Once an applicant is accepted into the partner program Cognos will forward a copy of the partner agreement. An authorized company official must sign this agreement on behalf of the partnering company. The partnership is effective once the signed agreement has been returned to Cognos and countersigned. An original countersigned copy will be returned to the partner.

Complete Company Profile on Cognos PartnerNetwork
An online facility is available for partners to complete their corporate profile, which will serve as your company overview in the Cognos partner directory. Partners are required to maintain the information on this profile in a timely and accurate manner.

Identified Cognos Beneficiary
A Cognos Beneficiary must be identified for the Technology Partner. The beneficiary is a Cognos entity or business unit who supports partnership as being mutually beneficial to both parties and validates the value proposition of the combined partner/Cognos offering. The beneficiary also takes an active role in the partner relationship management.

Partner Management
This is the Partner designated point of contact for the relationship.
Contact: Contact is not assigned - Cognos must be given group contact.
Named: Partner designates a contact as partner manager for Cognos.
Annual Renewal
Cognos Technology Partners will be reviewed annually to determine their eligibility in the Program. Eligibility will be based on the Partner successfully meeting the requirements as outlined in the agreement.

Technical Investment

Demonstrate Partner Solution
Silver and Gold Technology Partners must be able to articulate the value proposition to Cognos and the customer of an integrated solution. This is achieved through demonstrating the interoperability between the partner and Cognos products.

Certify Partner Solution
Silver and Gold Technology Partners will validate the technology that supports the value proposition and certify the interoperability of their solution with Cognos product(s). The testing will be completed by a designated independent certification lab and all costs associated will be the Partner's responsibility. Certification costs will be based on the complexity of the solution. Partners have 30 days upon approval or renewal to apply for mandatory certification.

Complete Support Plan
The Technology Partner is responsible to complete the Cognos Technology Customer Care & Support Plan within 30 days of approval or renewal. Although Cognos is not the first line of contact for support inquiries, the information provided allows us to either participate in a joint troubleshooting effort or seamlessly transfer the support case to our partner, as required. The Support Plan is a commitment to ensure mutual customers receive an exceptional level of care and support from Cognos and the Partner.
