in corporate performance management –
BURLINGTON, MA, September 14, 2005 - Cognos (Nasdaq: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence and corporate performance management (CPM), will host Cognos Performance 2005, a series of one-day conferences to be held in 35 cities worldwide. Beginning in September, the conferences will showcase best practices and practical strategies for organizations to drive higher performance using the leading business intelligence, enterprise planning and performance management solutions from Cognos.
In the general session, senior Cognos executives will outline the strategies, priorities, and technologies organizations need today to leverage existing data sources with a single solution, and reduce the time it takes to produce accurate forecasts and reports. Delegates will also get a first-hand look at Cognos 8 Business Intelligence, the company’s latest ground-breaking release that provides the complete range of BI functionality in a single BI product, leveraging a proven, single Web Services-based architecture.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend demos and break-out sessions by customers, partners, and Cognos product experts in technical, financial and business tracks.
“Cognos Performance 2005 continues our commitment to make our customers the best decision-makers in the world,” said Dave Laverty, senior vice-president of global marketing at Cognos. “This worldwide series of conferences was specifically designed to inspire and energize attendees to extend the value of their BI and performance management initiatives, capitalizing on critical insights and best practices from some of the industry leaders in corporate performance management.”
