SCA Packaging Turns to Cognos for Business Intelligence
— Leading European packaging solutions supplier selects

BRUSSELS, Aug. 6, 2003—Cognos, the world leader in business intelligence (BI) and corporate performance management, today announced that SCA Packaging, Europe's leading provider of packaging solutions, has selected Cognos as its Enterprise Business Intelligence solution.
Cognos Enterprise BI Series 7 was selected following an exhaustive review of the business intelligence functionalities provided by numerous vendors including Business Objects, SAS Institute and Crystal Reports. The agreement, which includes managed reporting, multidimensional analysis and extraction, transformation & loading, will allow SCA Packaging management more effectively to assess and track sales & financial performance, as well as better measure profitability and growth.
