Cognos CEO to Open the NASDAQ Stock Market on July 23
Event marks business intelligence leader's "Sweet 16" anniversary on the Nasdaq Stock Market
BURLINGTON MA, July 21, 2003Cognos (Nasdaq: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence (BI) and corporate performance management, today announced that Ron Zambonini, chief executive officer of Cognos, will open The NASDAQ Stock Market in New York on July 23 at 9:30 a.m. (all times are Eastern Time). The event will celebrate the "Sweet 16" anniversary for Cognos on The NASDAQ Stock Market.
Since its introduction to NASDAQ, Cognos has grown its total revenue by more than 1,000 percent, from $49.7 million (all dollars in U.S. funds) in the company's fiscal year 1987 to $551.0 million in fiscal year 2003. Over that same period, Cognos has seen its market capitalization on NASDAQ grow to more than $2.3 billion as of the close of markets July 18.
