BURLINGTON, MA, March 18, 2003—Cognos (NASDAQ: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence (BI) and performance management, announced today that the 88th Regional Support Command (RSC) will implement Cognos Metrics Manager. Cognos will provide senior military personnel with a dashboard that will enable them to monitor, analyze and report on the operational readiness of the troops.

The 88th RSC is a division of the U.S. Army Reserve Command and includes troops in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana. Building on an existing implementation, RSC will use Cognos Metrics Manager to ensure soldier readiness across all units.
