Electrolux Group Selects Cognos Series 7 as Global Business Intelligence Standard

— World's leading producer of household appliances partners with Cognos to deliver business intelligence to employees across the globe —

BURLINGTON, MA, May 14, 2002—The Electrolux Group, the world's largest producer of powered appliances for kitchen, cleaning and outdoor use, has selected Cognos Series 7 as its business intelligence standard. This agreement was won in a competitive bid against several other vendors, including Business Objects. Cognos (NASDAQ: COGN; TSE: CSN) is the world leader in business intelligence.

The deal means that Electrolux employees across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the United States will gain access to the Cognos Series 7 framework to report and analyze data across all business divisions including, sales, marketing, finance, and manufacturing. Cognos enables Electrolux to access and analyze critical key performance indicators, giving business managers the holistic view of the business they need to better manage corporate performance.
