Cognos® Introduces e-Applications for Oracle®

-- e-Applications Provide Immediate Time to Results and Reduce Implementation Costs for Oracle e-Business Suite Customers --

PHILADELPHIA, PA, April 26, 2000—Cognos® (Nasdaq:COGN; TSE:CSN), the leading strategic vendor of enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions for e-business, today announced from the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) conference, that they are the first BI vendor to offer packaged e-Applications for Oracle’s e-Business Suite. Cognos e-Applications, a series of analytic applications that address key functional areas of an organization, provide Oracle e-Business Suite users a rapid return on corporate investment, reduce implementation costs and effort, and drive shorter time to results for better business performance measurement.

Availability
The Cognos Sales Analysis for Oracle will be available within 60 days. Inventory Analysis will be available within 90 days. Cognos plans additional e-Applications customized for the Oracle community in 2000. Sales Analysis helps companies retain their customer base, close sales faster and generate more revenue, while Inventory Analysis provides customers with key information on their stock reservations, helps them analyze their material usage rates and forecast inventory levels.
