About the Innovation Center for Performance Management

The Cognos Innovation Center™ for Performance Management is both a forum and resource center for Cognos customers and partners. It was established to advance the understanding and encourage the adoption of proven techniques, technologies and best practices in planning and performance management.

Staffed globally by experts in fields ranging from planning, finance, and technology, to business intelligence, and performance and strategy management, the Innovation Center partners with more than 1,000 Cognos customers, academics, and industry thought leaders. Together, these experts and business professionals help organizations transform routine performance management practices into advanced "next practices." These organizations are then able to cut costs, streamline processes, and boost productivity, as well as respond more rapidly to opportunities, and increase management visibility into operations.

IBM Cognos Performance Blueprints—Putting Best Practices into Practice
Among the Innovation Center's most important achievements has been the development of IBM Cognos Performance Blueprints. Developed in collaboration with top-performing customers and performance management experts, the Blueprints are pre-defined data, process, and policy models. They help organizations speed implementation, reduce risk, and drive faster return on investment. Blueprints are available to all Cognos customers.

The Innovation Center has developed a full suite of Blueprints to address both functional and industry-specific process areas. And we are continually developing new Blueprints to serve an ever-wider range of functions and industries.

In addition to IBM Cognos Performance Blueprints, the Innovation Center offers its members:

Seminars, roundtable discussions, and tele-conferences on finance and performance management issues.
Publications including case studies, issue papers, and implementation roadmaps.
Opportunities for dialogue among business professionals, technology experts, and industry thinkers.
Access to the Innovation Center microsite, which serves as a communications portal for research and publications, and updates on Innovation Center activities.

The Innovation Center is primarily intended for executives and senior managers engaged in planning, finance, and performance management across the enterprise. Membership is available at no cost to Cognos customers and Gold and Platinum partners.
