Pre-Conference Training

Pre-conference training is a great way to enhance your learning at Cognos Forum. Get your hands on Cognos products and gain expert know-how, tips, and tricks from our in-house Cognos instructors. These focused training sessions will be held at an offsite facility. Space is limited, so please register early to guarantee your seat.

IBM Cognos TM1 Developer - Fundamentals

Course Description:
Learn the fundamentals of IBM Cognos TM1 server configuration, dimension building, cube design and creation, data loading, rule writing, and security.

Audience:
This class is intended for individuals responsible for creating and maintaining IBM Cognos TM1 applications.

Prerequisites:
TM1 End-User - Fundamentals class or equivalent experience.

IBM Cognos 8.3 BI Multidimensional Report Authoring

Course Description:
Learn multidimensional concepts and how to apply multidimensional techniques to reports. Discover how to author reports that navigate and manipulate multidimensional data structures using specific multidimensional functions and features available in Report Studio.

Audience:
This class is intended for professional report authors.

Prerequisites:
IBM Cognos 8 BI Report Authoring Part 1, knowledge of your business requirements, experience using Windows, and experience using a Web browser.

IBM Cognos 8.3 BI Essentials for Project Management

Course Description:
Gain essential knowledge to help ensure the success of your IBM Cognos 8 BI implementation. Participants will be introduced to the Cognos Solutions Implementation Methodology (CSIM), the elements of IBM Cognos 8 BI, and the underlying architecture. They will examine the process of creating a IBM Cognos 8 BI solution, and discuss how IBM Cognos 8 BI relates to the other parts of Cognos 8. Participants will be shown a range of resources to help them successfully manage their implementations.

Project Managers, Implementation Team Stakeholders.

Prerequisites:
Understanding of company's business intelligence process and reporting needs.

Course Description:
Gain essential knowledge to help ensure the success of your IBM Cognos 8 Planning implementation. Participants will be introduced to the Cognos Solutions Implementation Methodology (CSIM), the elements of IBM Cognos 8 Planning , and the underlying architecture. They will examine the process of creating a IBM Cognos 8 Planning solution, and discuss how IBM Cognos 8 Planning relates to other Cognos products.

Understanding of company's planning process and reporting needs, working knowledge of Excel.
