Powered by SAP NetWeaver, Cognos ReportNet gives SAP customers a consistent view of corporate performance

DIEGEM, Jan. 21, 2004 – Cognos (Nasdaq: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence (BI) and corporate performance management solutions, today announced Cognos ReportNet is one of the first enterprise applications to be certified as “Powered by SAP NetWeaver” for its integration with SAP NetWeaver™;, SAP's open integration and application platform. Selected by a wide range of global enterprises worldwide, Cognos ReportNet delivers rapid and effective global-scale enterprise reporting from SAP® Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW), a core product within mySAP™ Business Intelligence (mySAP BI), an SAP NetWeaver technology solution.

Further extending its commitment to SAP solutions and its partnership with SAP, Cognos successfully completed the certification tests for deployment of Cognos Dispatcher Service Version 1.0 on SAP Web Application Server (SAP Web AS) Release 6.20, achieving “Powered by SAP NetWeaver” status. This certification extends Cognos ReportNet’s existing SAP certified integration, including “Certified for SAP NetWeaver” for OLAP BAPI and Enterprise Portal iViews announced at SAP TechEd '03, Sept. 9-12 in Las Vegas.
